Grassroots Grocery is a New York-based nonprofit built on a neighbors-helping-neighbors model.
The organization operates without a traditional warehouse, instead delivering fresh produce directly to the communities that need it most. Through volunteer-driven Produce Parties and local distribution efforts, Grassroots Grocery removes barriers to healthy food and restores dignity to the experience of accessing it. Their approach is joyful, human-centered, and rooted in community, which is exactly why it resonates with the values that guide our clinical work.
